Pre-Wedding Shoots in Delhi

A few unhurried hours that are only about the two of you, before the guest list, the schedule and the wedding week take over.

A pre-wedding shoot is a relaxed photography session before the wedding, built entirely around the two of you. No rituals to cover, no relatives waiting, no schedule pulling you away. For many of our couples it is the first time they have ever been photographed properly together.

Studio Vision Photography shoots pre-weddings across Delhi NCR and on location anywhere you want to go. It is also the most common way couples start with us before booking the wedding itself.

How the day runs

Four to six unhurried hours

01

We plan it with you

Locations, outfits and time of day, decided together beforehand. Light is the whole game, so timing is not left to chance.

02

We start easy

Walking, talking, holding hands. Nothing that feels like posing until you have stopped noticing the camera.

03

We shoot the light

Sunrise or the last hours before sunset. It is why our pre-wedding work looks warm rather than flat.

04

You get them quickly

Edited images in time for invitations, save-the-dates and the reception screen.

Where to shoot

Locations in Delhi and beyond

Delhi has more range than most couples expect. Old city courtyards and stepwells for texture, Lodhi and the ridge for greenery, open fields on the NCR edges for golden hour, and studio setups when the weather refuses to cooperate.

Beyond Delhi we shoot in Rajasthan, Himachal, Goa and internationally. If you already have a location in mind, tell us and we will scout it. If you do not, we will suggest three that suit the two of you rather than whatever is trending.

Pre-wedding shoots can be booked on their own, and the cost can be credited into a full wedding package if you book the wedding with us afterwards. See how pricing works.

Where to shoot

Where couples actually shoot in Delhi NCR

The location matters less than the light, but a few places in Delhi reward an early start and we plan around them.

Lodhi Garden is the classic for a reason, though it needs a 6 am arrival before the walkers. Sunder Nursery gives you the same Mughal architecture with more room and a ticketed gate that keeps crowds down. Hauz Khas works best in the last hour before sunset when the lake takes the light. Agrasen ki Baoli is dramatic and small, so it is a thirty-minute stop rather than a whole shoot. For open sky and distance, the Aravalli ridge past Gurgaon and the roads out toward Neemrana give you space no city park can.

Permissions vary by site and season. We check them before the date is fixed rather than on the morning, and we build the running order around the light rather than the map.

Questions

About pre-wedding shoots

When should we do our pre-wedding shoot?

+
Most couples shoot two to six months before the wedding. That leaves enough time to use the photographs on invitations, save-the-dates and reception screens, and it avoids the crowded final weeks before the wedding.

How long does a pre-wedding shoot take?

+
A typical shoot runs four to six hours, usually built around sunrise or the last hours before sunset when the light is softest. Shoots across multiple locations or outfits take longer and are planned in advance.

We are not comfortable in front of a camera. Does that matter?

+
Almost nobody is comfortable in the first twenty minutes, and that is normal. We start with easy things, walking and talking rather than posing, and the photographs that matter usually come once you have forgotten the camera is there.

Can we shoot outside Delhi?

+
Yes. We shoot pre-weddings across India and internationally, from Rajasthan and Himachal to overseas locations. Travel is quoted openly as a separate line in your package.

How many outfits should we bring?

+
Two works well for most shoots, three if you have booked a longer session across locations. More than that and the day turns into changing rather than shooting.
